Debate Honors

At this year’s NDCA National Championships at Indiana University, Ava Barbiere ’26 and Nathan Nguyen ’24 finished as quarter finalists in Public Forum, a form of competitive debate which centers on current events and relies on both logic and evidence to construct arguments.

The legislation that requires life-saving epinephrine auto-injectors at all large public venues in New York was passed by the New York State Assembly and Senate. It now heads to the governor’s desk, thanks to Lucia Zaremba ‘25.
